Why David

Rooted here. Ready to serve.

David Borchardt has spent more than 50 years in northwest Fresno. He attended Gibson, Tenaya, Bullard High and Fresno State, built a small business, raised three daughters with his wife Libby, and spent more than two decades serving the community.

He is running to bring practical, accountable leadership to District 2 - focused on public safety, stronger neighborhoods, and the streets and infrastructure residents rely on every day.

“I'm not running for the next office. I'm running to put a lifetime of Fresno experience to work for District 2.”

Priorities

Focused on the basics that matter.

David's campaign is built around three clear responsibilities of city government.

01

Support Public Safety

Improve 911 response, address police staffing, and fix radio communication dead spots so first responders can do their jobs effectively.

02

Restore Our Community

Address blight, strengthen neighborhood associations, and protect the quality of life that makes District 2 a great place to live.

03

Invest in Our Streets

Repair deteriorating roads and tackle infrastructure projects that have been deferred for too long.

Community First

Showing up matters.

David's approach to public service starts with listening, showing up, and doing the work. From community cleanups to neighborhood conversations, he believes representation begins long before a vote at City Hall.
