I've been walking District 2 neighborhoods and talking to residents. The same things come up at every door โ here's what I'm committed to doing about them.
Priority #1 for District 2 families and businesses
Every family in District 2 deserves to feel safe in their home and neighborhood. Public safety is the foundation of everything else โ you can't have thriving businesses, strong schools, or growing families without it.
I will be an unwavering advocate for our Fresno Police Department โ providing them the resources, training, and community partnerships they need to protect District 2 residents effectively.
911 response times must be 15 seconds or less. When a family calls for help, every second counts. I will hold the City accountable to the response time standards that keep our neighborhoods safe.
Support adequate staffing, competitive compensation, and the equipment our officers need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
Invest in proven community programs that strengthen the relationship between residents and law enforcement.
Work with the District Attorney and state representatives to ensure that repeat offenders face real consequences.
Drive through District 2 and you'll see the problem: crumbling roads, broken sidewalks, and infrastructure that's been neglected for too long. This isn't just an inconvenience โ it's a safety hazard and an economic liability for our businesses and residents.
I'll prioritize capital investment in our streets and infrastructure to ensure District 2 gets its fair share of city resources and that projects are completed on time and on budget.
Develop a systematic, data-driven approach to road repair that prioritizes the worst conditions first.
Fix broken sidewalks and improve pedestrian infrastructure so everyone can move safely through District 2.
Advocate for multi-year infrastructure investment plans so District 2 stops getting deferred maintenance.
Fix our infrastructure so District 2 can thrive
Small businesses are the backbone of District 2
As a small business owner myself, I know what it takes to create jobs, meet payroll, and serve a community. I understand the challenges our local businesses face โ from regulation and permitting to workforce development and economic competition.
I'll be a vocal advocate at City Hall for policies that make it easier to start, grow, and sustain a business throughout all of Fresno โ not just in a select few neighborhoods.
Streamline the permitting process so businesses and contractors get approvals in one day for most standard construction jobs โ eliminating unnecessary delays that cost money and kill projects.
Attract new investment and retail to District 2 while protecting the local businesses that already call our neighborhoods home.
Work with local employers, schools, and training programs to connect District 2 residents with good-paying jobs close to home.
The people of District 2 work hard for their money. They deserve a council member who treats every public dollar with the same care and discipline they bring to their own family budgets.
Fiscal responsibility isn't a talking point โ it's the foundation of good governance. I'll bring the same approach to City Hall that I've applied as a small business owner: spend wisely, measure results, and be accountable to the people who pay the bills.
Demand full transparency in how City funds are allocated and spent โ residents deserve to know where their money goes.
Vote against programs and projects that don't deliver measurable results for District 2 residents.
Hold city departments accountable for delivering services efficiently and on budget.
Common sense. Accountability. Results.
